Stocks finished mixed today as investors await the G-20 meeting. In economic news, weekly mortgage rates fell further, while total mortgage application volume increased 1.3% last week from the previous week.

Here’s a look at how the major indices finished the day:

 

Dow Jones Industrial -10 at 26,526

S&P 500 finished +11 at 2,924

NASDAQ finished +58 at 7,967

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 4 basis points yielding 2%

Oil prices closed down $0.15 ending at $59.23 a barrel

Gold prices closed down $4 ending at $1,412 an ounce

 

In the days’ stock news:

  • The FAA announced they found a new issue with Boeing’s grounded 737 MAX jet. They found a software problem from the stall prevention system that Boeing has been addressing. Boeing finished down about 3% today
  • Walgreens shares increased over 4% today as the company reported better than expected earnings and revenues
  • Rite Aid reported a quarterly loss of 14 cents per share, which was 6 cents worse than expected
  • Nordstrom and Ross Stores shares both fell as an analyst at Goldman Sachs recommended clients sell the stocks, citing a dim profit outlook for the retail sector
