U.S. stocks traded mixed but little changed Friday as investors consider generally weak economic data even as the Fed continues to tighten monetary policy.  Speaking of Fed policy, bonds seem to be paying more attention to economic data with yields moving lower in both short and longer term issues.  Meanwhile oil staged a slight rally making an attempt to close back above $45 and gold remained little changed throughout the day.  At the end of trading…

In economic news: Headline inflation came in at 1.9% and core inflation at 1.7%. That’s below where it was at the end of last year and is trending lower.  Retail sales also fell coming in well below expectations.
